Duoserve introduces the first cloud-based fingerprint solution that runs as a desktop software. The unique solution currently offers TimeFlow Online customers the ability to deploy fingerprint readers quickly and easily to single or multiple locations by simply plugging in the USB device into any computer running the TimeFlow Online desktop application.
According to the American Payroll Association "Buddy Punching accounts for 5% of yearly payroll". Many unsuspecting administrators don't realize how significant the losses can be. Compound an expensive solution that does not verify who is punching in and the losses can further increase.
How is this different than other solutions?
For one the software is a full-fledged desktop application that transmits timesheet and employee information to the cloud. Secondly there is nearly no setup involved. Administrators can get started by simply plugging in the biometric fingerprint reader into the USB connection of any Windows based PC. Currently other solutions require complicated network configuration and usually require the help of a specialized network technician. TimeFlow Online only requires a username and password.
The PC based solution dramatically reduces costs by leveraging existing hardware and network infrastructure. Most companies have already invested in computers and internet connectivity. A backup strategy for data is not necessary as Duoserve performs all data backups. The TimeFlow Online application installed on systems can be virtually destroyed with no loss to data. The logistics necessary (to repeat a new hardware and software deployment) costs companies both time and money and is the primary benefit of cloud based solutions.
TimeFlow Online customers currently enjoy a Click Once solution which means that they click on one hyperlink and the application runs immediately just like one would expect from a web page. Once the application runs it will shows on the Start Menu for subsequent usage. The application updates automatically without end user intervention upon opening the application.
In cases where multiple deployment locations are involved administrators can have anyone with administrator privileges (supervisors) simply plug the device in and run a simple wizard on the computer. The solution installation time averages below 5 minutes per device. The low installation time contrasts greatly with most other single/multiple location solutions that usually take hours or days to plan and finalize.
